Dreams Aspirations and Goals Essay
I just want to start off by saying that I am truly blessed to be able to have the opportunity that so many donââ¬â¢t have: getting an education. I dreamed I would always be able to learn to be able to do a little of everything no matter what it was: either it was learning culinary, mechanics, science, mathematics, history, etc. Iââ¬â¢ve just wanted to be that one person who knows a little of everything; no matter what the skill was I could do it. It may sound impossible but ââ¬Å"nothings impossible.â⬠As I enter the college life, this is where I will be determining my dream and where I truly will belong for the rest of my life it may take a while but thatââ¬â¢s what college is for to really test the waters and become comfortable with the one that occupation that really fits me well. I think what I really want to achieve in college is to be a role model; to be the role model that I want to be responsible by being able to balance my school, work, and social life, but mo st importantly I want to be able to make my family proud and support them like they did for me. I think my biggest dream was to become someone who can aspire and motivate people with their creativity or to just be a role model ââ¬â hopefully that this experience in college will truly help me accomplish that. I know that knowledge is key to pretty much everything we have to know ââ¬â practically every and anything about whatever occupation we want to have. But whatââ¬â¢s wrong with using our creative side ââ¬â isnââ¬â¢t it fun too just maybe once show up to class and have to draw for an assignment but no one says it has to be perfect no one expects you to be Picasso. We are being required to draw and use our creative side express our artistic side whether it be through words, drawing just to be able to just your true potential with creativity. In my experience of high school I had an amazing literature teacher who would sometimes just be fun and creative and just have us draw for one of our journals but it wasnââ¬â¢t stupid it was creative. Being creative is one of my biggest passions in life. I hope that I can truly show people there is nothing wrong with being creative. Responsible the one thing some people are afraid to be. When you hear the words independent it descri bes everything about being responsible. Itââ¬â¢s when you start to do things on your own ââ¬â a simple definition. In depth you have your own apartment maybe, pay your own car, bills, and you have a stable good paying job. It shows true responsibility when you can balance your school, work, and social life because youââ¬â¢ve shown how mature andà independent you can be ââ¬â there is nothing more accomplishing to prove that you pushed yourself through all those nights of tears and sweat to finish that assignment. High School was a sort of breaking point for me with AP literature to give me a taste of the college life ââ¬â all the nights I stood up to complete my papers. I can tell you this it was honestly worth it even though it stressed me out as I stared hours at a blank page at how to start my paper but then once you get going it all just flows out. One thing I know is that all that dedication of my time and effort will help me to be coming successful in my future. I wouldnââ¬â¢t be able to have done it without the support of my family and friends. So my goal in college is to graduate and figure out what I want to be. When I do graduate I want to be able to support and be there for everyone who did the same for me. Most of all I want to spoil my parents and spoil and treasure then like they did to me and my siblings. I honestly couldnââ¬â¢t have done it without their words of wisdom, kindness and experiences that showed me this opportunity I have to take advantage of so on behalf of my parents, family and friends my journey to success is my gift to you and may I make you prouder than you are when you saw me with my first cap and gown.

Expectations of Customers and Management-Perceptions Gap Assignment - 2
Expectations of Customers and Management-Perceptions Gap - Assignment Example Therefore, it is important for an organization to do enough research on what the customers expect and later implement according to the high demand in the market. The company should also practice the centralized kind of organization since it is easier to be implemented. Meeting the correct expectations is usually an important task, but not good enough to achieve superior quality service. The performance standard is important for improving high service quality products (India, 1968). The biscuit organization seems not to meet customer expectation since they consider their expectations as unreasonable, the demands of customers are at times difficult to be predicted, and lastly, some organizations are inflexible in the way it operates. Several factors have contributed to the failure of meeting the service quality. These are the presence of inadequate management among the employees, which reduces the service quality. Lack of standardization of extreme cases where hard and soft copies of technology are used to standardize the services. They work with much laxity since they have no target to meet in places where the organization fails to make goals. Lastly, is the perception of invisibility, such that managers do believe that the customersââ¬â¢ needs can be met (India, 1968). All this should be changed so that the company would improve its management and service delivery. Some of the factors that have resulted in this gap include; the workers are not qualified, use of poor technology, ambiguous employees who always have conflicts among themselves and inappropriate supervisory control systems. For efficient work, the goods not only should they meet the customersââ¬â¢ expectations, but should also be backed with adequate and appropriate resources (India, 1968). The standard of good should be ensured to be effective this can be enhanced by ensuring that the employees are measured and compensated depending on the basis of their performance. Management should also have standardized technological gadgets and qualified employees for them to meet their goals.Ã

Employment-At-Will Doctrine Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1500 words
Employment-At-Will Doctrine - Essay Example For instance, an employer is not allowed to take any negative employment action against any worker because of disability, gender, national origin, age, or any legal protected activity or characteristics. The protected activities include jury service, refusing to carry out an illegal action, reporting violation laws, filing the compensation claim of workers, and filing a discrimination complaint on the basis of sex, color, race, disability, or national origin. Since upset workers tend to sue a company on the above named grounds, it is advised that a company maintain the records of the performance of an employee (BALLAM, 2000). The records helps in giving evidence of disciplinary actions that are not linked to the protected activity. The status of an employee-at-will may be changed by an implied or written contract, local law, or a state. Assuming an employee and employer enters into a written agreement; any termination must be carried pursuant to the contract terms and conditions. A discharged employee who claims the partied have contractually agree to the rights of the employers to terminate has the liability to prove the written representation on that note (New York joins the states overturning the employment-at-will doctrine: Employee handbooks are the key, 1983). After the parties agree to the terms of service, the workers can never be discharged unless with a reason. Generally, the oral assurance that a worker will not be dismissed without a good reason does not amend the status of an employee at will. There are various limited exceptions to the doctrine of employment at will. Under this rule, the law does not apply if the relationship of employment is governed by an agreement with a given employment term. Under the exception of the public policy, a worker is wrongfully dismissed when the dismissal is not within the public policy of the nation. For instance, majority of states in America an employer is not allowed to terminate a worker for
